We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records for our logistics operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity of our stock, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory data within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain reports on inventory accuracy and turnover.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to address inventory issues.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and proper use of PPE.
