Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that we have the right products in the right quantities at all times. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventories, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing stock levels, minimizing losses, and supporting efficient warehouse operations and logistics. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain high levels of accuracy. This role involves standing for extended periods and may require moderate lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management.
  • Implement measures to reduce inventory shrinkage and damage.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams on inventory planning.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
  • Perform tasks involving lifting and moving inventory as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience with PPE.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
