We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our busy fulfillment center in Detroit, Michigan! This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and efficiently packed for shipment. You will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for transit, maintaining high standards of accuracy and speed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to a safe working environment. You will handle a variety of products, requiring care in picking and packaging. Strict adherence to PPE guidelines is mandatory. This position involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting, so good physical condition is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure quality control.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing targets.
- Handle items requiring substantial Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics and fulfillment processes.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
