Seeking a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! This role is fundamental to the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. You'll be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety. You will handle a variety of materials, ensuring they are properly stored and prepared for shipment. This position requires active participation in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. We emphasize the importance of wearing appropriate PPE to ensure your well-being. Daily tasks will involve considerable Lifting and operating material handling equipment, so a good level of stamina is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other equipment.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist in conducting inventory counts and reconciling stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report damaged goods or any safety hazards.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the facility.
- Handle tasks requiring significant Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory control.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Experience in logistics environments is advantageous.
