We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our facility, supporting various logistics and operational needs. Your expertise will ensure smooth transitions of goods, from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load materials.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring no obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed when not operating a forklift.
- Understand and contribute to efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (required).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
