Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in warehouse operations? We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our San Diego, California facility. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all inventory is accurately accounted for and processed. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from delivery trucks.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items for proper storage.
- Stage goods for put-away or further processing.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely as required.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, with a lifting capacity of up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of warehouse safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
