We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage inventory, load and unload trucks, and move materials throughout the warehouse. A strong emphasis on Safety, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence are key requirements. You will play a vital part in our supply chain, ensuring timely movement of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, ensuring readiness and safety.
- Safely transport inventory to and from storage locations and production areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Operate other material handling equipment as required.
- Accurately record all material movements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator is required.
- Valid forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to stand and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
