We are seeking a diligent Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Washington, D.C. facility. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking stock levels, receiving and stocking incoming inventory, processing outgoing shipments, and conducting regular inventory counts. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for ensuring the integrity of our inventory data and supporting our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and committed to upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
- Process outgoing orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked and shipped.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for efficiency and accessibility.
- Prepare inventory reports as required.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure smooth operations.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, data entry proficiency, and the ability to perform tasks involving some lifting. Familiarity with inventory control software is a plus.
