Our Dallas, Texas location is seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics operations. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and shipping outgoing orders. Your duties will include verifying shipment details, coordinating with carriers, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, and maintaining shipping records. This role is critical to ensuring that our products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of shipping procedures are essential. Safety is paramount in our warehouse; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. This position involves handling various materials, and requires the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outbound shipments.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure packages are properly packed, labeled, and secured.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform duties that may involve lifting and moving packages up to 45 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 45 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping carrier requirements and documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
