We are looking for a motivated Order Picker to join our Houston, Texas warehouse team! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring efficiency and precision in our logistics operations. You'll utilize scanning technology and follow order fulfillment instructions to maintain high accuracy rates. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and you will be required to adhere to all safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities:
- Locate and pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or electronic devices.
- Use RF scanners to accurately track picked items and update inventory records.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, protecting products during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all housekeeping guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment as directed.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy targets.
- Report any damaged items, stock discrepancies, or equipment issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve overall warehouse and logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
