Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials from designated areas.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
- Transport goods to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and general warehouse safety.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow all procedures for the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently.
