We’re building a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture and looking for a passionate Product Owner/Product Manager to help us scale our platform and shape the future of construction technology.
What You'll Be Doing: Strategy & Discovery (The Why and What)
Own the Product Strategy:
Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area, ensuring it aligns with Varicon's business goals and market opportunity.
Deep User Immersion:
Lead continuous user research and discovery, conducting interviews, working with civil contractors and in office with finance teams to identify the most critical user pain points.
Concept Validation & Testing:
Validate new ideas and features through prototyping, A/B testing, and usability sessions with real users before development begins.
Data-Driven Decisions:
Define, track, and analyze key metrics (bKPIsb) to measure product success and inform all prioritization decisions.
Agile Execution & Delivery (The How)
Product Owner Authority:
Act as the Product Owner for a dedicated cross-functional team, owning, grooming, and ruthlessly
prioritising the backlog
to maximize value delivery.
Define Requirements:
Write clear, concise
user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria
that serve as the single source of truth for the engineering team.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Partner closely with QA to ensure delivered features are high-quality, bug-free, and meet the defined acceptance criteria prior to release.
Go-to-Market Coordination:
Coordinate simultaneous feature releases, working with Sales and Marketing to drive successful launch and adoption.
What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications
Experience:
3+ years (Mid-Level) to 7+ years (Senior)
of proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or a similar hybrid role, preferably in a
B2B SaaS environment .
Domain Focus:
Strong understanding of
construction technology (ConTech)
or a related field (e.g., project finance, field service management). Direct experience in civil construction is a major advantage.
Agile Mastery:
Expert knowledge and hands‑on experience applying
Agile and Scrum
methodologies.
Communication:
Exceptional ability to communicate and influence both technical teams (Engineers) and non-technical stakeholders (Executives, Sales, Users).
Technical Aptitude:
Comfort discussing technical details, integration APIs, and data models with engineers.
Desirable Skills
Relevant certification (e.g.,
CSPO, RPO ).
Proficiency with product tools like
Jira, Confluence, and Amplitude/Notion .
