Job Family Definition Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry / market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.
Management Level Definition Contributions impact technical components of SOC products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.
Clearance Required Secret
Location Work on-site 5 days a week. Standard work hours M-F 8am to 5pm. Will be part of a working rotation team. Must be flexible to support off hours as needed.
Responsibilities
Breakfix experience required.
Reports daily to, and works physically at, the Customer Site.
Accountable for meeting and maintaining customer’s SLA (Service Level Agreement).
Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies.
Owns and drives service tickets. Including the ordering of parts for needed repairs.
Gather data, perform analysis, and elevate problems to higher-level product support groups and appropriate management to ensure timely resolution of system or customer issues.
Preforms daily hardware diagnostics and repairs.
Responsible for verifying and implementing the detailed technical solution to the problem.
Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.
Collects and determines data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs, and requirements.
Responds to requests for technical information from customers.
Maintains onsite part inventory.
Occasional travel for training is required.
Security+ Certification required
Linux+ Certification required. If candidate does not have the Linux+, candidate will be required to obtain the certification prior to the start date.
Knowledge and Skills
Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, without supervision, and within a team environment.
Have extensive Linux based hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics experience.
Able to communicate prognosis and impact with both the customer and SOC teams.
Ability to work in a multi-technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause.
Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate the professionalism of the job family.
Education and Experience Required 4+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts / Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (7+ years in total)
Employment Prerequisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation and drug urinalysis.
