Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Mercy St Louis Hospital Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assistant CALL POSITION Seeking RNFA Experience! Mercy OR conducts a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, General Services. The RN First Assistant practices perioperative nursing and has acquired the knowledge, skills, and judgment through organized instruction and supervised practice to first or second assist the surgeon in the operating room. The intraoperative activities of the RN first assistant must be supervised by a surgeon. Licensure : RN License in the state of MO CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.
