Pastry Chef Job Description

Meadowood Napa Valley seeks an experienced Pastry Chef to lead all pastry and baking operations in a high-volume, high-end culinary environment.


  • The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional pastry experience and be able to recruit, train, coach, cross-train and develop the bake shop team members.

This role involves planning and organizing daily pastry operations while ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. The successful candidate should also maintain compliance with health regulations including OSHA requirements.


  1. A strong leader who can foster a respectful work environment aligned with Meadowood's culture of gracious hospitality is required for this position

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare delicious pastries that meet quality standards
• Plan seasonal menu offerings collaborating with Executive Chef
Able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently throughout shift as well as stand/walk extended periods during scheduled hours requiring occasional stooping/bending reaching climbing stairs ability perform tasks manual dexterity fine motor skills visually inspect products read written materials use computer screen communicate verbally person telephone.

Compensation Package:

The base salary range $85-$95K depending qualifications level advancement potential - Flexible spending
