This PRN opportunity is perfect for experienced RNs looking to contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN) Must hold and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure as applicable Responsible for meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements Previous nursing experience preferred (unit-specific requirements may apply) Additional certifications may be required based on unit or obtained within department timeframe: ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) CPHON (Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse) OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) Other unit-specific certifications as required Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
