We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance defense and toxic tort litigation and be capable of providing high-quality legal services while working in our offices or remotely.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal memoranda.
* Provide legal counsel and guidance on a variety of legal issues.
* Attend court hearings as directed in St. Louis metro and Southern Illinois
* Attend depositions via phone or teleconference as necessary.
* Review, analyze, and summarize case files, evidence, and legal documentation.
* Maintain communication with other legal professionals.
* Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and solutions.
*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active membership and good standing with Missouri Bar required. Other state bar admissions a plus.
* Minimum two years of experience in insurance defense or toxic tort litigation.
* Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
*Preferred Skills:*
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable with remote work and flexible schedules.
