*Job Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process. You will play a crucial role in educating young patients and their families about oral hygiene practices while assisting the dentist in delivering comprehensive dental services.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments and reviewing medical history.
* Perform dental cleanings, applying fluoride treatments, and sealants as necessary.
* Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
* Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Stay updated on pediatric dentistry practices and advancements in dental technology.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to pediatric dentistry.
* Proficient in medical terminology relevant to dental hygiene.
* Experience with patient assessment techniques and systems used in dental practice.
* Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
* Ability to communicate effectively with children and their guardians, fostering a positive environment.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
