Key Responsibilities:
* Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures.
* Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
* Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis.
* Monitor and care for hospitalized animals, providing routine treatments and observing their condition.
* Take and process radiographs (X-rays).
* Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information.
* Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and medical conditions.
* Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
* Ensure a clean and organized clinic environment.
Qualifications:
* Certification in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is a plus.
* Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
* Proficiency with veterinary software and medical equipment.
* A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
