Join our dynamic warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee, as an Order Picker! Your primary responsibility will be accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers in a timely manner. You will be responsible for locating items, verifying quantities, and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Operate powered industrial trucks or hand trucks to move products and materials.
- Scan items using RF scanners for inventory control.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and checks.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and security.
Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus. Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols is essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial. This role requires a commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic are highly valued. Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is advantageous. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
