We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items for customer orders, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily targets and maintain a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Inspect products for damage or defects before packing.
- Package items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate manual and powered equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and quality.
- Adhere to strict PPE guidelines at all times to ensure personal and team safety.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime if needed.
