We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, as well as performing routine checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain a safe working environment. This position requires significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods. Adherence to all Safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and management.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in Logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve significant Lifting .
