Job Summary:
Become a vital part of our logistics operations in Houston, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are seeking driven individuals to manage the movement of materials and products within our busy warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are correctly stored and organized. This role is fundamental to the efficiency of our supply chain, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics. A strong commitment to safety is non-negotiable; all associates must strictly follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent workplace injuries. This physically demanding position requires the ability to lift heavy objects regularly and maintain stamina throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving. Experience with industrial machinery and a solid understanding of warehouse procedures are highly valued. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load and unload materials and finished goods from trucks.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Ensure all materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
  • Report any damages, hazards, or operational issues to supervisors.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
  • Handle tasks requiring consistent and significant lifting.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Certification to operate forklifts preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to perform strenuous tasks.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of general logistics and warehouse operations.
