Our dynamic logistics operation in Miami, Florida, is looking for a proactive Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods. This vital role ensures that all shipments are accurately received, processed, and dispatched efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and Safety protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all goods are handled with care. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of our logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, labeling, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and shipping areas.
- Update inventory records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies in shipments.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and stock organization as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all safety regulations.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
