We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is vital to the efficiency of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and prepared for distribution. You will work with various equipment to manage inventory flow, playing a key part in our overall Logistics strategy. A strong focus on Safety and accuracy is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming inventory, ensuring proper placement.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, free from hazards.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient Logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a Material Handler or warehouse role is required.
- Proficiency with various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of workplace safety.
