We are seeking a skilled and reliable Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a critical role responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe and efficient operation, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for ensuring that goods are stored correctly, safely, and accessible for order fulfillment. This role requires a high level of concentration and adherence to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to pick and place pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Safely navigate warehouse aisles, maneuvering around obstacles and other personnel.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
