In this role you will lead the full S&OP process across the Group, working closely with finance and strategy teams to inspire a one‑QinetiQ mindset and drive business performance.
This 37‑hour per week position is based at Farnborough.
Hybrid working patterns are available.
At Farnborough we work on cutting‑edge defence technology, including high‑energy laser systems, a 5‑m pressurised wind tunnel and large research and development projects.
Responsibilities
Ensure the operational plan is agreed, coherent with the financial plan and based on consistent assumptions.
Drive financial and delivery performance through effective demand and supply management to meet targets and strategy.
Manage risks and decisions in the operational plan, supporting the business to understand and act on them.
Monitor, report and communicate performance of the operational plan, working with sector teams to identify improvement actions.
Accountable for the baseline of the operational plan and for managing changes against this baseline, always ensuring alignment with strategy and finance.
Lead the S&OP process, systems and tools, continuously improving effectiveness to deliver required outcomes.
Qualifications
Extensive experience leading S&OP across a large matrix organisation.
Strong experience working with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, up to director level.
Leadership skills to build and inspire high‑performing teams focused on continuous improvement and collaboration.
Strong management capabilities to deliver against agreed plans and to challenge practices at all levels.
High‑level negotiating and influencing skills, able to build relationships quickly across all disciplines.
Degree in a subject requiring strong analytical, conceptual and organisational skills.
