*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health.
* Assess patient medical histories and vital signs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
* Take dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols.
* Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, including proper sterilization of instruments.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document patient interactions.
* Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to ensure seamless documentation workflows.
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
* Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient information and safety.
