The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for elevating the effectiveness, consistency, and impact of the Business Analyst team.
This role involves mentoring 8–10 Business Analysts, defining BA standards, improving documentation quality, and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
The Lead BA ensures requirements are well-defined, processes are streamlined, and communication between technical and business stakeholders drives successful project outcomes.
Requirement/Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of Business Analyst experience, including 3+ years leading or mentoring analysts.
Strong understanding of requirement elicitation, documentation, and process modeling.
Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with enterprise-level applications or multi-module systems.
Proficiency in tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Experience:
Experience mentoring Business Analysts.
Experience facilitating workshops, requirement sessions, and cross-team discussions.
Experience translating business needs into clear documentation.
Experience supporting projects with complex business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain consistent BA practices, templates, and documentation standards.
Ensure high-quality requirement artifacts including BRDs, RTMs, user stories, and process flows.
Review BA deliverables and provide constructive feedback.
Facilitate requirement sessions and workshops.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
Support prioritization, risk mitigation, and project alignment.
Present updates and recommendations to leadership.
Mentor Business Analysts and foster continuous improvement.
Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices.
Remove roadblocks and proactively address risks.
Should Have:

Ability to manage multiple priorities and support concurrent projects.

Qualification and Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred:
Experience supporting BA practice standards or Centers of Excellence.
Experience with data governance, data integration, or data quality initiatives.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and ALM tools.
Strong analytical and data-driven insight skills.
