What You Will Do:
Design electrical systems for a variety of standard and special-purpose machinery, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Create detailed electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, parts lists, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.
Collaborate closely with mechanical and software teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions.
Select electrical components with an emphasis on standardisation, cost efficiency, and availability.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including conducting risk assessments and supporting CE compliance.
Provide technical support to other departments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within the machinery or automation industry.
A minimum qualification of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Proficiency in electrical CAD software, with AutoCAD Electrical being highly desirable.
Knowledge of machine safety standards such as BS EN ISO 13849-1 & 2 and BS EN 60204-1.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
