The Role We’re looking for an SEO Specialist to own our organic growth strategy. You’ll work directly with the founders to increase our visibility, drive traffic, and help makers discover ShipIt when searching for ways to launch their products.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy (technical, on‑page, off‑page)
Conduct keyword research to identify high‑intent opportunities in the startup/maker space
Optimize existing pages and create content briefs for new SEO‑driven content
Build high‑quality backlinks through outreach, partnerships, and creative campaigns
Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions—report on what's working
Collaborate with our dev team on technical SEO improvements
Stay ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hands‑on SEO experience (agency or in‑house)
Proven track record of ranking pages and growing organic traffic
Strong understanding of technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, schema markup, crawlability)
Experience with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar
Self‑starter who can work independently
Bonus: Experience in SaaS, developer tools, or the startup ecosystem
