IOP Publishing is seeking a Kinetic Systems Engineer for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract on our Technology team.

What will you be doing? The Epicor Kinetic Systems Engineer is responsible for the support, configuration, optimisation, and continuous improvement of the Epicor Kinetic ERP platform. This role ensures that business users can rely on critical business applications, with a focus on delivering robust, efficient, and future‑ready solutions that align with evolving business needs.
Provide advanced technical support for Epicor Kinetic ERP, resolving user issues quickly and effectively.
Ensure minimal disruption to business operations by prioritising critical incidents and applying root‑cause analysis.
Monitor ERP system health, performance, and integrations on a proactive basis.
Identify potential issues before they impact users and implement corrective measures.
Maintain dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools to track system stability and efficiency.
Liaise with Epicor support teams to escalates and resolve complex issues.
Coordinate with third‑party partners (e.g., Blue Sky ERP) to manage integrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Develop and maintain BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, and DMT processes.
Develop and maintain integrations using Automation Studio (Workarto).
Produce and maintain clear technical and user documentation.
Deliver training and guidance to end users and super users.
About you
Proven experience supporting and configuring Epicor Kinetic (cloud preferred).
Strong skills in BAQ, BPM, dashboards, DMT, and system integrations.
Demonstratable experience of maintaining and developing Automation Studio recipes.
Experience with Finance operational modules.
Familiarity with cloud ERP upgrade cycles and risk management.
Experience working with third‑party implementation partners.
A genuine interest in new trends and industry developments.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to understand business requirements and identify potential improvements.
Good understanding of business processes (Finance).
Good understanding of AWS, Azure, and other hosting platforms.
Good understanding of SQL, able to run queries and investigate data issues.
Dedication to continuous learning and skill improvement.
