Are you a blockchain security expert
passionate about the
future of crypto ? Coinbase is looking for a
Staff Blockchain Security Architect
to join their
Security Team
and ensure the safety and security of Coinbase’s blockchain protocols and related systems. As a
blockchain security architect , you'll be at the forefront of securing digital asset networks and leading efforts to identify gaps in security infrastructure. What You’ll Do:
Identify and address
gaps in security infrastructure
across Coinbase. Perform
security assessments, framework development , and
threat modeling
of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and distributed ledger technology. Advise on
code and architecture
for internal smart contract development. Drive the
roadmap
and vision for
blockchain security tools . Investigate blockchain upgrades, innovations (like
zero-knowledge proofs ), and emerging protocols. Publish blogs and give
talks
on vulnerabilities, incident investigations, and integration risks. What We Look For:
Deep understanding of blockchains , especially
EVM chains . Extensive experience in
architecture and threat modeling
of security-critical backend crypto systems. Familiarity with crypto custodianship , common vulnerabilities, and systems that handle cryptocurrency. Knowledge of
onchain activities
(blockchain explorers, funds tracing, DEXs, NFTs, smart contracts). Familiarity with innovations such as
restaking
and
EIPs . Leadership and
mentorship experience . Clear communication skills
with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 8+ years
in blockchain, with a minimum of
4 years
in blockchain security. Nice to Haves:
Knowledge of
security architecture
of
non-EVM blockchains . Expertise in cryptography , including
zk-SNARKs ,
FHE , and
