Design Manager
overseeing utility scale
Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

HV grid connection
projects across the UK and Europe.
The Role You’ll take ownership of design reviews and technical coordination across multiple projects, ensuring quality, safety, and constructability from early design through to delivery.
Lead and review contractor designs (electrical, civil, controls, HV).
Coordinate Owner’s Engineers and specialist consultants.
Support RFPs, equipment specs and procurement decisions.
Manage technical documentation and design standards across regions.
About You
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
Proven experience with HV, grid connection or BESS design reviews.
Strong understanding of UK & European technical standards.
Organised, detail driven and confident managing multi-disciplinary teams.
