Role And Responsibilities
Agreeing and implementing customer plans: Work closely with existing accounts to align on annual plans and deliver them with integrity and consistency.
Developing strong, trusted relationships: Build genuine rapport, be reliable and easy to work with, and grow your network within each customer.
Delivering best‑in‑class trade marketing: Partner with the marketing team to activate our brands brilliantly and responsibly within your accounts.
Leading best‑in‑class own‑label trade: Apply strong own‑label knowledge and a diligent approach to deliver exceptional results.
Sales analysis: Manage customer and third‑party data to understand consumer performance, ensure promotions land effectively, and optimise our portfolio mix to enhance margin.
Commercial P&L management: Own the P&L for your accounts, meet budgets through disciplined decision‑making, and identify future growth opportunities.
Forecasting & reporting: Work closely with supply and demand planning teams to build accurate, robust weekly and monthly forecasts.
New business development: Proactively seek out new opportunities and channels to drive future growth through persistence, curiosity, and hard work.
Competence & Experience
FMCG account management experience; preferably groceries, but not essential.
Ability to negotiate and build best‑in‑class relationships with customers.
Full P&L management experience and demonstrable ability to meet/exceed targets.
Excellent strategic and commercial awareness, proven experience of developing and implementing strategy.
Confident and commercially savvy; comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels and applying business commercial acumen to your thinking.
High level negotiation skills.
A team player, willing to go the extra mile to help others and collaborate.
Demonstrated interest in developing your career with NFUK and contributing to the company’s growth, showing passion for your role.

Who Are We Looking For?
At least 5 years sales experience in an FMCG role is essential.
A self‑motivated go‑getter with a desire to knock on doors and chase leads.
A fast learner with a can‑do attitude.
Good communicator.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Credible, persuasive and tenacious.
Strong IT skills including Excel.
Comfortable working in an open‑plan, culturally diverse workplace.
