Our client, a leading specialist within the modular substation and engineered solutions sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on technical responsibility, autonomy, and delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across full project lifecycles.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role
Design LV electrical systems (AC & DC), including cable sizing and system calculations usingTrimble / Amtech
Conduct lighting designs using DIALux EVO
Produce electrical schematics withAutoCAD / DraftSight
Design Heating & Ventilation control panels and other control systems
Plan and develop cable containment layouts
Design SCADA/BMS integration panels
Integrate Fire Alarm, Intruder, and HVAC systems into overall solutions
Produce specifications for earthing and bonding arrangements
Create detailed documentation for electrical assemblies and subcontracted systems
Generate technical reports and component specificationsReview designs completed by other engineers
Provide ongoing technical support to internal stakeholders and external clients
Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person
HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering
BS7671:2018 (18th Edition) qualification beneficial
Experience withinBuilding Services, Power Distribution, or Modular Engineeringbeneficial
Proficiency in DIALux, Trimble / Amtech,AutoCAD
Strong understanding of client specifications and regulatory compliance
Experience in regulated sectors (Energy, Utilities, Rail, Nuclear) advantageous
Self-motivated, confident, and capable of delivering senior-level engineering decisions
Located in North Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from York, Driffield, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Bridlington, and surrounding areas.
