GBP 30,000 – 50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Qualifications
3-5+ years' experience in a similar Mechanical Design position
Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
Proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.
Ability to carry out mechanical calculations
Experience working with process machinery or steel/metal materials desirable
Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient using MS Office
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work well alone and as part of a small multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
Liaising with manufacturing providers
Being involved in final assembly of products
Creating required documentation for design as well as project reports/plans
Updating 3D models and drawings
Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
Checking drawings for sign off
Working in a small multidisciplinary team on varied projects
