Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the Quality Manual and systems in line with BRC standards.
Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality and food safety issues.
Ensure compliance with supplier approval criteria.
Supervise and manage QA and Hygiene staff.
Accurately complete, record, and file all QA records.
Collaborate with Production Managers and Supervisors to meet production standards.
Assist in managing technical audits effectively.
Deputise for the Technical Manager when necessary.
Proactively engage in quality improvement initiatives.
Participate actively in the HACCP team, updating risk assessments and hazard analysis.
Collect samples and analyse microbiological results.
Promptly address customer complaints.
Manage the equipment calibration schedule.
Resolve day-to-day quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
Clean UK/EU driving licence.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a Quality/Technical role.
Third-level qualification (Degree or HNC/D) in a relevant food-related discipline.
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in IT and ability to present information concisely.
Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment.
Excellent communication and positive leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate of Higher Education.
Experience in quality assurance for at least 2 years.
