Role Overview
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to build and nurture a vibrant brand community across social platforms. You’ll work closely with the Social Media Strategist and Content Creators to manage content calendars end-to-end, oversee scheduling, caption writing, community engagement, and act as the guardian of our brand.
This role requires someone with a strong understanding of content, brand voice, storytelling, and online community building. You should have experience growing a brand across multiple channels through a combination of consistency, creativity, and strategy.
The ideal candidate thrives both independently and collaboratively, takes initiative, and is proactive in driving ideas forward. You’re creative, digitally savvy, and always in tune with the latest trends in social culture. While content creation isn’t the main focus, someone who isn’t afraid to get in front of the camera is a bonus. You’ll be confident managing channels end-to-end and ensuring the brand feels authentic and engaging online.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Social Channels:
Oversee content scheduling, maintain and update social calendars, write captions, and manage community engagement across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X, ensuring a consistent and authentic brand presence.
Build and Nurture Communities:
Grow and engage audiences across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, and broadcast channels, driving interaction, loyalty, and retention.
Shape Brand Voice:
Execute and evolve the brand tone of voice across all platforms, writing compelling captions that engage and build trust.
Support Content Strategy:
Work with the Social Media Strategist and Content Creators to develop creative briefs, campaign ideas, and content plans.
Stay Ahead of Trends:
Monitor platform updates, social trends, and digital culture, applying insights to keep the brand relevant and engaging.
Collaborate and Support:
Work cross-functionally with performance, creative, and influencer teams; support influencer strategy by identifying and engaging potential creators.
Leverage Tools:
Use AI tools to support workflow, while ensuring creativity remains authentic and original.
What You Need
Proven experience growing brand social channels and managing multiple platforms.
Strong understanding of social strategy, storytelling, and content frameworks.
Ability to write clear, engaging captions and maintain a consistent brand voice.
Confident, creative, and able to generate fresh ideas.
Experienced in community management, building trust and engagement with audiences.
Knowledgeable in social analytics, able to interpret data and optimise performance.
Independent, self-driven, and proactive.
Experience using Sprout Social or a similar social management tool.
Highly organised and reliable, able to manage multiple channels.
Strong problem-solving skills and able to find solutions independently.
Bonus Skills
Skilled in short-form content creation (TikTok, Instagram Reels) with basic video editing skills (CapCut or similar).
Comfortable appearing on camera when needed.
