Base
pay
range £45,000 – £63,000 (salary based on skills and experience)
Eligibility SC Clearance eligibility required.
Role As a Consultant Interaction Designer you will design journeys and interactions that help users complete their goals. You will work closely with User Researchers and Content Designers to solve complex problems for our clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating designs and prototypes based on insights from user research and data.
Designing solutions that make complex processes easy to understand.
Ensuring your work is inclusive and accessible, placing accessible design practices at the heart of your process.
Clearly documenting design decisions and articulating your rationale.
Taking a supportive role in user research to test your designs.
Designing to government service standards.
Core skills
Methodical and considered problem‑solving approach.
Planning and task management to achieve project aims.
Respectfully challenging decisions or solutions you didn’t agree with.
In your interview we will ask you to present a piece of work that demonstrates these topics and to answer related questions.
Desirable but not essential experience
Government Digital Service (GDS) assessment process
Prototyping tools
HTML and CSS experience
Working in Agile delivery teams
Planning and facilitating workshops
