Job Description As a Conferences & Events Sales Coordinator you will manage all event enquiries and oversee the full booking process from initial contact to final event details. You will maximise revenue opportunities by converting leads, upselling services, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in line with Accor brand standards.
You will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with the wider Sales team to achieve sales targets within the hotel’s annual sales budget.
Key Responsibilities Event Coordination
Respond to enquiries efficiently and professionally.
Prepare proposals, contracts and event function sheets.
Maintain accurate records and update systems timely.
Coordinate with internal departments for seamless delivery.
Support service delivery within budgets and incentives.
Ensure all preparations, dietary requirements and guest numbers are confirmed.
Meet clients on the day of their event.
Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely execution.
Implement time‑management strategies to meet weekly deadlines.
Sales & Client Relations
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents and event planners.
Participate in site inspections, client meetings and familiarisation trips.
Respond promptly to enquiries and provide follow‑up.
Support account management from inquiry to negotiation, contracting and upselling.
Collaborate with Sales and Events teams to cross‑sell services.
Revenue & Reporting
Monitor availability and align with revenue management strategies.
Support forecasting and reporting of business trends.
Maintain knowledge of local market, competitor activity and pricing strategies.
Negotiate with third‑party vendors to secure favourable terms.
Evaluate special events and submit reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Assist with site inspections and trade shows when needed.
Qualifications About You
Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality sales (preferred).
Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
Proactive, detail‑oriented and confident managing multiple tasks.
Positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
Familiar with event booking systems (Opera/S&C experience is a plus; full training provided).
You’ll be successful because you bring
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Passion for creating memorable, high‑quality guest experiences.
Previous experience in events or conference operations, preferably a hotel.
Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Friendly approach building rapport with clients and colleagues.
Confidence in following up with clients to ensure expectations are met.
Excellent personal presentation and professional communication.
Knowledge of Opera Cloud or Delphi (desirable).
Experience in hotel sales, reservations, or business development.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
Strong relationship‑building abilities across corporate or events sectors.
High motivation, self‑direction, independent and collaborative.
Positive, proactive attitude and polished professional demeanor.
Experience in lead generation, proactive outreach and converting enquiries into bookings.
