Our client is seeking a DQA Engineer for a freelance B2B contract expected to last 6 months, with potential extensions. 3 days on‑site and 2 days remote (hybrid).
Skills and Responsibilities
Strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows, preferably in financial services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Design and execute test plans for complex data workflows, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
Good understanding of modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Behave, unittest) and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
Knowledge of data validation techniques, schema checks, and data integrity testing for structured and semi‑structured data.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge and Step Functions.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
Experience with Agile software delivery and QA best practices.
