Role Overview We’re hiring a
Content Creator
to shape and execute PerfectTed’s storytelling across all key social media channels. You’ll plan, shoot, and edit high‑impact short‑form content that drives growth, engagement, and brand fame. This role is perfect for a highly capable creator who thrives in fast‑paced environments, has a sharp eye for trends, and can turn ideas into consistently brilliant content. You will work closely with the Senior Content & Social Manager and Content and Social Media Executive to bring the brand to life, while independently owning production across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, film, and edit content optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, primarily for PerfectTed channels with some support for founder content.
Capture footage and repurpose into multiple short‑form edits to maximise output and distribution.
Shoot behind‑the‑scenes content, cultural moments, product launches, events, and community‑led activations as well as stunts.
Edit quickly and to a high standard using CapCut, Adobe Suite, and Canva while maintaining brand look, tone, and energy.
Take initiative in capturing content proactively, identifying moments worth filming without being prompted.
Maintain a dynamic content calendar balancing planned moments with rapid reactive content.
Collaborate with the Social Team to translate brand priorities, cultural trends, and performance insights into content ideas.
Ensure all content aligns with campaign themes, product drops, partnerships, and retailer activations.
Contribute ideas and creative concepts for series, formats, and ongoing storytelling across platforms.
Performance Tracking & Creative Optimisation
Review performance metrics regularly and identify what is landing with our audience.
Use data to refine hooks, editing styles, posting times, and creative approaches.
Work with the Social Team to test creative variations and incorporate learnings from paid performance into organic content.
Share insights with the wider team to help improve our overall content strategy.
Stay ahead of platform behaviours, viral moments, and creator‑led storytelling techniques.
Identify relevant cultural conversations and propose content ideas that feel natural to PerfectTed’s tone and community.
Experiment with new content styles, platform features, tools, and editing formats.
Bring fresh creative thinking to every brief and every shoot.
Requirements Must‑Haves:
Strong experience creating content for social‑first brands or personal channels, with a high‑quality portfolio showing your capabilities.
A creative storyteller with the ability to turn any moment into clear, engaging, scroll‑stopping content.
Proven ability to plan, shoot, and edit for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms.
Confident using CapCut, Edits, Adobe Suite, and Canva (or equivalent editing tools).
Strong visual instincts and a deep understanding of short‑form content best practices.
Comfortable independently owning shoots, directing talent, and capturing content in fast‑paced environments.
Highly organised with excellent communication, independent, and great with follow‑through.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Apps, Notion, Google Drive, and Excel.
Comfortable behind and in front of the camera – does NOT embarrass easily!
Experience working with a founder‑led or personality‑driven brand.
Experience working in a high‑growth, fast‑moving startup environment.
