This is a field-based position, traveling at least 3-4 days a week, located in the North, ideally close to the existing customer base, but with broader responsibility for developing assigned accounts across England and Wales. You will manage extensive business relationships with customers at all levels of the supply chain to further drive our growth and profitability. Focusing on key growth markets, you will use your technical, commercial, and sales knowledge to sell our product offerings to existing and new businesses. You will look for opportunities in different industries, prospect for new business, be familiar with working with customers to develop technical, engineered solutions, and solve problems, contributing to our ambitious growth targets. The role sits within our Core Industries business unit and is responsible for the growth of key markets including rail, industrial equipment, healthcare, truck, and renewable technologies. This division supports around half of Southco’s global business, with many complex products, challenging projects, and a strong customer base. These markets are vital within the UK, and we currently have many premium and "blue chip" companies and supporting supply chains as key customers. Is this role for you? Do you have at least 3-5 years of selling experience into a variety of technical markets with extensive knowledge of technical sales? Are you a persuasive professional with the drive to succeed in sales? Are you willing to take on the responsibility of managing and driving business growth in challenging customers and markets? Are you a tenacious and creative problem solver? Do you hold a degree in Engineering or another technical discipline? Are you a resilient self-starter capable of working on your own initiative? Do you have experience and a proven record of success in close customer contact within a fast-moving sales environment? Why Southco?
