Overview
The role of the Naval Communications Sales Manager involves extensive interaction with customers and stakeholders to secure annual order intake, meet demanding annual sales targets, and identify and win new business. You will engage closely with customers, end-users, platform manufacturers and integrators in both the UK and overseas to win profitable business. Responsibilities
Engage with customers, end-users, platform manufacturers and integrators to win profitable business in the UK and overseas. Secure annual order intake and achieve demanding annual sales targets. Identify and win new business opportunities through strategic planning and execution. Develop a winning strategy (win strategy) that meets customer needs, mitigates critical issues, and strengthens the company’s competitive position. Identify potential offers aligned with the win strategy and present the most suitable commercial offer to the customer. Negotiate with the customer to obtain contracts. Assess campaign viability and decide whether to continue to the next phase. Monitor campaign plans and milestone achievement. Manage commercial campaigns, including maintenance of campaign status reports and budgeting/forecasting. Qualifications / What you’ll bring
In-depth understanding of Naval Communications, ideally through commercial or operational end-user experience or prior technical experience with Naval Communications systems. Ability to analyse and evaluate commercial opportunities and align them with business strategy and objectives. Experience identifying competitive scenarios and conducting competitive analysis. Ability to develop and execute a winning strategy and identify the most suitable commercial offers. Strong negotiation skills to secure contracts. Judgement to analyse and decide on continuing with campaigns and transitioning between phases. Ability to monitor plans and milestones for multiple campaigns. Security Clearance
