Lead Product Designer – Credit Compass / iwoca Deutschland Hybrid working in London, UK (at least one day in office per week) Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash‑flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are. That’s why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five‑star customer service ensures business owners can act with speed, confidence and control exactly when they need it. We’ve already helped 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding and aim to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive. Responsibilities
Setting the design and product direction for Credit Compass and new ventures: defining how our products help small businesses understand their financial health and take the right steps to improve it; translating insight into a clear product vision and cohesive experiences that drive behaviour change and long‑term engagement. Leading end‑to‑end design across discovery, strategy and delivery: owning outcomes rather than outputs; mapping journeys, validating hypotheses and shaping interfaces that balance user needs, data integrity and commercial goals; working closely with product, engineering and data to ensure measurable impact. Turning complex data into actionable insight: designing dashboards and workflows that help business owners make confident decisions; using information architecture and data visualisation to bring clarity to complex datasets and make progress visible. Driving customer‑centric decisions through research excellence: leading generative and evaluative research, turning qualitative and quantitative insights into product direction; testing, learning and iterating with user needs clearly represented in every major decision. Elevating design quality and maturity across the team: guiding and supporting junior designers, shaping principles, patterns and overall design quality; contributing to a strong design culture through collaboration, fast feedback and consistent execution. Delivering products that earn trust and become indispensable: defining how Credit Compass provides ongoing value, driving engagement, financial understanding and lending readiness; helping business owners feel in control of their financial journey and returning because the product truly supports their next step.
