About the School of Computer Science and Mathematics Our School is dedicated to producing research that has real‑world application, boasting specialisms in immersive technologies, applications of artificial intelligence, trustworthy computing technologies and data science. We collaborate with industry, having partnered with the BBC, NHS, Panasonic and EPSRC among many others, and support student placement, research, consultancy, short courses, and active knowledge transfer partnerships.
Position: Lecturer in Cyber Security We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Cyber Security. Applicants should have experience in Ethical Hacking, System Penetration, Secure Software Development, Information Security and Cryptography. Certifications in Ethical Hacking are strongly desired.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the enhancement of courses across the Computer Science and Mathematics programmes, developing and delivering innovative and engaging curricula at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Provide intellectually stimulating teaching while motivating and supporting students in their learning.
Conduct research in your area of expertise and undertake scholarly activities in computer science to ensure our curriculum is up-to-date and meets the needs of students and employers.
Contribute to the development and delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives and interdisciplinary project areas.
Qualifications:
PhD in a related subject or relevant professional experience from industry.
Background in one of the relevant areas listed, with experience in ethical hacking and cybersecurity.
