Lead Mechanical Design Engineer – RSE
RSE invites a permanent Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to champion projects across England, driving low‑carbon design solutions and ensuring strict compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand specific intervention requirements. Plan and implement projects in collaboration with Delivery Management teams. Provide technical guidance on mechanical matters to project teams and senior management. Lead the development of mechanical design deliverables. Mentor emerging engineering talent and contribute to the next generation of EICA Engineering professionals. Ensure ongoing compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards. Required Qualifications
Mechanical design engineering experience within the municipal water/wastewater sector. Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Design management/lead experience. Programme and financial management experience. Experience across all design stages, from optioneering/FEED to construction support and as‑built. Experience in plant commissioning and/or plant operation preferable. Chartered engineer status with a relevant professional body preferable. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. Full UK driving licence. Benefits & Working Life
