We are looking for a Digital Solutions Engineer to drive digital transformation within our water and civil infrastructure teams. The role focuses on developing computational design tools, supporting BIM‑enabled delivery, and championing automation across the asset lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Develop and apply computational design and automation tools to support water design projects
Build parametric and data‑driven models using Python, Grasshopper, and Dynamo
Support BIM‑enabled delivery using Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks
Contribute to developing tools and workflows for optioneering, design optimisation and rapid scenario testing
Identify and articulate the value of digital solutions, including efficiency, cost, and risk reduction
Work with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions
Engage with teams to understand and challenge existing workflows and champion the adoption of automation
Support implementation, testing, documentation and training for new tools and workflows
Qualifications
Undergraduate or higher degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent professional experience and qualifications)
Demonstrated experience in computational design or parametric modelling using Python, Grasshopper or Dynamo
Clear understanding of wider digital developments and associated benefits in the water or construction industry
Experience of digital project delivery
Strong communication skills to effectively understand team requirements and influence behaviours, fostering a culture of innovation
