My client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong asset management middle and back-office expertise to support a business change integration initiative. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring operational requirements are clearly defined and delivered effectively.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with middle and back office stakeholders (Operations, Fund Accounting, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Data, IT)
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, regulatory initiatives, and operational improvements
Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs with business and technical teams
Middle & Back Office Domain Focus
Fund accounting and NAV calculation
Corporate actions and income processing
Reconciliations (cash, positions, securities)
Pricing and valuation
Performance and reporting
Risk and regulatory reporting
Understand data flows across front, middle, and back office systems
Change Delivery & Systems
Support system implementations, upgrades, and vendor platforms (e.g., OMS, PMS, accounting platforms, data warehouses)
Work closely with developers, QA, and vendors to ensure accurate delivery
Assist with test strategy, test case creation, UAT coordination, and defect management
Support data migration and integration initiatives
Process Improvement & Documentation
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and control issues in existing processes
Propose and document improved workflows and operating models
Maintain high-quality documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows)
Support operational readiness, training, and post-implementation reviews
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within asset management
Strong knowledge of middle and back office operations
Solid understanding of the investment management lifecycle
Experience working with both business users and technical teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
Proficiency in requirements documentation and process modeling tools
